Balance, fees, the welcome gift and the monthly cap

You pay only when you accept a request, from a prepaid balance, and never more than your monthly cap. Here is how it works.

The short version

The amounts in force for your country — the fee for each tier, the caps, the gift — are on the pricing page. Your own numbers are on your Balance page.

Your balance

Open Balance (only the owner or a manager can see it). Your balance has two parts:

Below them is every money movement: fees, refunds, top-ups and the gift.

The fee per accepted request

Your business type puts you in a fee tier — Low fee tier, Standard fee tier or High fee tier. The pricing page lists which types are in which tier. Your Balance page shows your tier for this month. In some cases Go Online sets a different tier for your shop; you are told by email before it starts, and your Balance page says so.

The fee is charged the moment you accept. The Accept button shows it before you tap. See Accept, reject or cancel a request for when a fee comes back.

The monthly cap

Your fees in one calendar month never go above your tier's cap:

We email you when you reach the cap and when you get close to the fair-use number.

When your balance runs low

The Balance page warns you when your balance is getting low, and a waiting request shows owners and managers Top up to accept when the balance cannot pay its fee. If it cannot pay the next fee, new requests are paused: customers see that your shop is not taking new orders right now, but your shop stays online and the requests you already accepted are not affected. Top up and new requests come in again. At your monthly cap nothing is paused, because accepting is free.

Top up your balance

On Balance, open How to top up:

  1. Write to the address shown there, from your account's email, with your shop's link and the amount.
  2. We agree with you how you pay us. Online payment is not available.
  3. When your payment arrives we add it by hand. It shows as "Top-up".
  4. Ask us for a receipt for any top-up.

Something wrong with a movement? Write to the same address within the time shown there. Past movements are never changed: a correction is a new movement.

Your limits

Your limits on the Balance page shows how many items and photos your shop has, against its limits. Near a limit you get a warning; at the limit only new additions are blocked — nothing is removed and your shop stays online.
