The rules for using Go Online: for businesses that sell, book and take requests on it, and for customers who order from them.
Draft — pending legal review
This text is a plain-language draft. A lawyer has not reviewed it yet, and it may change before Go Online opens.
About Go Online
Go Online is a service of SBSuccess ("we", "us"). It gives small businesses their own website and lets their customers order, book a visit, join a class or ask for a quote.
These terms cover the Go Online website, every business website built with Go Online (on a Go Online address or on the business’s own domain) and the business dashboard. By using any of them you accept these terms.
Businesses and customers
A "business" is a shop, clinic, salon, teacher or any other seller that publishes its offer on Go Online. A "customer" is anyone who sends a business an order, a booking, an enrolment or a quote request.
When you order or book, your agreement is with the business, not with us. The business sets its prices and is responsible for its products and services, stock, delivery, quality, refunds, licences and the law that applies to its trade. We provide the tools that connect you.
Business accounts
To use the dashboard a business creates an account. The business must:
give true details about itself and keep them up to date;
confirm its email address and keep its password private;
make sure everyone it invites to its dashboard follows these terms — the business is responsible for what its staff do there;
have the right to sell what it publishes and hold any licence its trade needs.
Fees and credits for businesses
Setting up a business on Go Online is free. Each request the business accepts — an order, a booking, an enrolment or an accepted quote request — uses one credit. The price of a credit depends on the business type and country and is shown on the pricing page before you pay.
Credits come from a prepaid balance (top-ups) or from a monthly subscription. Top-ups and subscriptions are paid online through our payment providers; we never see or store full card numbers.
Rejected requests, and requests the customer cancels before the business accepts them, cost nothing.
If an accepted request is cancelled before it is fulfilled, its credit goes back to the balance.
New businesses receive welcome credits, as shown on the pricing page.
When the balance runs low we warn the business. It can go a small number of credits below zero; after that new requests pause until it tops up. The business website stays online.
Unused credits are not refunded in cash unless the law requires it or we close the service.
We may change prices. New prices apply to top-ups and subscription periods that start after we announce them on the pricing page and by email.
Paying for orders: cash only
At launch, customers pay the business in cash on delivery, at pickup or at the visit. Go Online does not take, hold or refund payment for orders, bookings or enrolments; any refund or dispute about payment is between the customer and the business.
If online payment is added later, these terms will be updated before it is switched on.
Customer details that businesses receive
With each request the business receives the customer’s name and phone number (and the delivery address for deliveries). For a quote request, the business sees the phone number only after it accepts the request.
A business may use these details only to handle that request and to contact the customer about it. It must keep them safe, must not sell them or use them for advertising without the customer’s permission, and must follow the data protection law of its country.
Health businesses: no medical records
Doctors, dentists, clinics and laboratories use Go Online for booking details only — the service, the time, and the patient’s name and phone number. Diagnoses, test results, prescriptions and other medical records must never be published, requested or sent through Go Online.
Pharmacies may not sell prescription-only medicines through checkout. Customers can send a request for them, and the pharmacy decides how to handle it under its own rules and the law.
What is not allowed
Nobody may use Go Online to:
sell or advertise anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen or dangerous;
publish misleading prices, fake reviews or someone else’s content without permission;
send fake orders or bookings, or harass a business or a customer;
copy the service in bulk, test its security without our written permission, or overload it.
Content and our brand
A business keeps the rights to its name, logo, photos and texts. It allows us to store, resize and show them on its website, in the directory and wherever Go Online links to it, for as long as they are published. Product photos have extra rules, in the next section.
The Go Online name, logo and software belong to SBSuccess. You may not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Product photos and the shared catalog
When a business uploads a photo, it confirms that it took the photo, owns it, or has permission to use it this way, and that the photo does not break anyone’s rights.
The business grants SBSuccess a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, resize, crop, adapt and show its product photos on Go Online — to the business itself, to other businesses and to customers. This includes our shared product catalog: after our review, a photo of a product, for example a packaged item with a barcode, can be offered to other businesses that sell the same product. If the business deletes a photo, we stop showing it on its own pages; a copy already in the shared catalog may stay there until we replace it or the business asks us to remove it.
We never show which business contributed a shared photo.
A business that uses a photo from the shared catalog for one of its items is responsible for how that item is shown: the photo must fairly represent what the customer receives.
Notice and takedown: if you believe a photo or text on Go Online breaks your rights, write to [email protected] with the link to the page, the content, and why. We review every notice promptly and remove or replace the content where needed. We may also remove any content at any time if it may break the law or these terms.
Pausing or closing an account
A business can stop using Go Online at any time and ask us to close its account. We may pause or remove a business, or a listing, that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts customers at risk. When we can, we tell the business first and explain why.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Go Online fast and available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We are not responsible for the products, services or conduct of businesses, or for what customers do.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to a business is limited to the fees it paid us in the three months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We publish every change on this page with a new date. We tell businesses by email about important changes before they apply. The country whose law governs these terms, and the courts for disputes, will be stated here after legal review.
